Broward Sheriff’s Office wants to help prevent prescription drug abuse and identity theft!

The Medicine Cabinet and Shred-A-Thon will help you get rid of your old medicine and sensitive documents.

Getting rid of old medication properly is important so it never falls into the wrong hands and so it does not get mixed up with good medications in your home.

It is also important that any documents with your sensitive information get shredded and thrown away properly.

BSO knows getting rid of medication and sensitive documents properly can raise some questions. Don’t miss out on this event!

Operation Medicine Cabinet

• Bring your unused, unwanted or expired prescription medications for safe disposal.
• Receive a $5 gift card while supplies last.
• Gift cards will only be given when turning in prescription medicine
• No needles or sharps will be collected

Shred-A-Thon

• Shred away identity theft by safely disposing of information sensitive documents
• Limit 2 boxes of shredable documents per vehicle
• Boxes can be no larger than 16″L x 12″W x 12″H
