Are you Eligible?

  • ClearCaptions services are federally funded, so only qualified individuals can use them.
  • Who can qualify?
    • Hard of hearing:
      • You need to have hearing loss that makes captions necessary to use the phone. You can self-certify your hearing loss during setup.
    • Live in the U.S.:
      • ClearCaptions is available only to residents of the United States and its territories.
    • Internet access:
      • You’ll need home Internet or a data plan on an Apple iOS device to use the service.
    • Speak English:
      • The service is currently available only in English.
