We Are Having a Baby: Parenting Program

Free 10-week program is designed to prepare you for your parenting journey.
You can attend one or all sessions. All sessions will be held virtually via
Zoom.

But…Attend ALL 10 sessions to receive a diaper bag with baby
essentials.

Powered by the Broward County Healthy Start Coalition, this 10-week session
begins on February 13th. Each week features a different topic.

Week 1 4/30/24: Getting to Know You. Welcome to Parenthood

Week 2 5/7/24: Your 1st and 2nd Trimester: Understanding your Pregnancy,
Body and Nutrition.

Week 3 5/14/24: Eating for Two

Week 4 5/21/24: Labor and Delivery

Week 5 5/28/24: Breastfeeding and Postpartum Care: Benefits of Breastfeeding
and Discussion on Postpartum Depression

Week 6 6/4/24: Baby Care Basics

Week 7 6/11/24: Safety First/SIDS

Week 8 6/18/24: Nurturing Your Baby: Soothing tips, Baby’s 1st Year and When
to Call the Doctor

Week 9 6/25/24: Healthy Relationships: Personal boundaries, communication and
signs of abuse

Week 10 7/2/24: GRADUATION!
