Powered by Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies of Palm Beach County, this newborn care workshop will educate participants about the basics of taking care of a newborn infant, diapering and cord care, how to calm an infant, the importance of immunizations, getting infants into a sleep routine and awareness of safe sleep.

Facilitator: Women’s Health Initiative Program (WHIN) Nurse

Working in conjunction with a licensed Nutritionist and Mental Health counselors, the Registered Nurse Case Manager from the Women’s Health Initiative (WHIN) Program provides culturally appropriate education to moms in specific zip codes in Palm Beach County. The Registered Nurse educates all families on toxic stress, stress management, and healthy relationships as well as safe sleep, family planning, and breastfeeding through collaborative community partnerships funded by Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County.
