Project L.E.A.D. (Literacy for Every Adult in Dade) is an adult learn to read program to help English‑speaking adults who have trouble with reading and writing.

The program gives free, one‑on‑one, tutors, to help adults improve their reading and writing skills.

If you sign up, you will be given a volunteer tutor to help them reach their reading goals.

Teams meet twice per week either in-person or online for one‑hour sessions at a time.

To join you must:

  • Speak English
  •  Be at least eighteen years of age
  •  Undergo a skills assessment

You will need to have a laptop or tablet. If you do not have this, you can visit to get one at MDPLS Tablet Lending Program.
