👁️ Florida Heiken Children’s Vision Program

💁‍♂️ We help Florida children see their very best! This program gives free eye exams and glasses to eligible school students.

🌟 Why it matters: Good vision helps a child learn, grow and feel confident. Around 80% of children who are checked through this program need glasses.

✅ Who can join:

• Students in Pre-K through 12th grade

• Children who go to public schools in Florida

• Families who need extra help with eye care

✅ What you get:

• A full eye exam by a licensed doctor.

• Eye drops for a proper check-up (normal to feel light-sensitive for a few hours).

• Free glasses if the doctor says you need them.

📲 How it works:

• Apply online at the Heiken portal or use a paper form if needed.

• If your child qualifies, the school will send a voucher with doctor info.

• Then you call to make an appointment.

• In some schools with many students, a mobile unit may visit the school.
