Assistance with Bills – Financial Assistance Program by Boca Helping Hands!

Need help paying late rent or utility bills?

Boca Helping Hands provides limited financial assistance to qualified Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Lake Worth, Greenacres, and Palm Springs residents in crisis.

Financial assistance includes the following:  

• Late Rent. Assistance is not available for renters in active court evictions.
• Late FPL and Water. To be considered, your power and water must be connected at the point in time of requesting assistance. Deposits or reconnection fees are not included.

1. Review the required list of documents below.
2. Print and complete the Boca Helping Hands Client Form. Click here
3. Print and complete the FPL Authorization Form, if applicable. Click here
4. Individually scan all the documents listed in the checklist below.
5. Email the documents to RC@BocaHelpingHands.org. Please attach all documents to one email only.

Required Documents:

•  Completion of the Boca Helping Hands Income & Expenses form.
• Current Mortgage or Lease.  If residency is less than a year, a previous lease or mortgage document is required.
• Proof of all income: Last three months of bank statements for all accounts – Checking accounts, Savings accounts & Business accounts.
• Proof of employment: Last three pay slips.
• Valid issued picture ID – Driver’s License, ID card or Passport.
• Final FPL bill, water bill, or rent late notices with proof of your portion paid and any other agency commitments, if applicable.
• Completion of the FPL Authorization Form.
• Explanation as to why you are having difficulty paying the bills.
• FINAL NOTICE from FPL, Water Company or your landlord indicating amount of money which must be paid by a certain date to keep service or accommodation active.
• Proof of any financial contribution from family members or other agencies (churches or local government groups). Must be documented and sent directly to BHH.
