Interested in a Culinary Career? Feeding South Florida is now taking applications for the next cohort in their free culinary training program.
This 12-week course was designed by James Beard nominated chef Lindsay Autry. Here you will learn the skills necessary to start your culinary journey.
This class you will learn how to prepare:
- Meats
- Poultry
- Fish
- Sauces
- Menus
You will also learn knife skills, food safety and more.
To be eligible you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Prove reliability and an interest in pursuing a career in warehousing and logistics.
- Have experienced financial hardship (unemployment, underemployment, government assistance, etc.) during the last 12 months.
- Agree to a background check and drug test.
- Be able to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Be able to attend classes Monday – Friday.
