Swim Lesson Scholarships: Miami-Dade

Topic:

  • Water Safety

Miami-Dade Parks and Recreation has the Learn2Swim scholarship program available for children ages 2-17 who do not know how to swim.

The scholarship will provide the funds for your child to take swimming lessons.

The scholarship is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Call pool for scholarship availability. Visit pool to apply.

You or your child can be safer at the beach and pool by enrolling in a Learn2Swim class. Swim classes are offered at County pool locations.

They are available year-round, depending on demand, in two-week sessions. Swim classes are 30 to 45 minutes long.

If you do not qualify for the scholarship, the cost of swim lessons varies from $10 to $60 per session depending on pool location.

Your child will be taught by certified American Red Cross water safety instructors.

Swim classes are based on swimming ability level and age group.

Choose among 15 Learn2Swim locations. Call the Learn2Swim location for dates and times. Times vary depending on pool location and number of participants.

For more information or to register, contact your desired Learn2Swim class location.
