❄️Emergency Cold Weather Shelter Open

Due to very cold overnight temperatures on the Treasure Coast, an emergency cold weather shelter will be open to help keep people safe and warm.

  • Sunday, February 1

  • Monday, February 2

The shelter opens at 5:00 p.m. and closes at 8:00 a.m. the next morning. For more information, please contact Pastor Hazel Hoylman with In the Image of Christ at 772-359-9653.


🚌 Free Transportation Available

Free bus rides will be offered by Area Regional Transit (ART) from 6:00 p.m. to about 8:00 p.m. starting Saturday, January 31.

Pickup locations include:

  • Port St. Lucie Intermodal Station, 395 SE Deacon Ave., Port St. Lucie

  • Fort Pierce Intermodal Facility, 725 Avenue D, Fort Pierce

  • Prima Vista Crossing Bus Stop (east of U.S. 1)

  • Pinewood Park, 820 Sunrise Blvd., Fort Pierce

  • Kilmer Branch Library, 101 Melody Lane, Fort Pierce

  • Publix Plaza at Taylor Creek, 1851 North U.S. 1, Fort Pierce

  • Percy Peek Gym, 2902 Avenue D, Fort Pierce

  • Space is limited. Please do not bring large or many items.

  • Riders may bring up to four bags, each weighing no more than 10 pounds.

  • Items such as explosives, illegal substances, and dangerous materials are not allowed.
