Women’s Workforce Empowerment Program

Powered by OIC of South Florida, the Women’s Workforce Empowerment Program offers vocational skills training and support for economically disadvantaged women in Broward County. The program is designed to empower women to further their careers and break the cycle of generational poverty.

To qualify for the Women’s Workforce Empowerment Program you must be:

  • At least 17 years of age
  • Be currently unemployed or under-employed
  • Have a GED or High School Diploma (though not required to enroll

Preference is given to at-risk women due to:

  • Homeless
  • Victims of domestic or family violence
  • Behavioral Health needs

Program highlights include:

  • Vocational/Employment Skills building
  • Job Placement Assistance
  • Case Management & Support Services
  • Support Network and Guest Speakers
  • Before and After School Child Care (Broward County only)
