Broward Health

Broward Health, providing service for more than 80 years, is a nationally recognized system in South Florida that offers world-class healthcare to all. The Broward Health system includes the statutory teaching hospital Broward Health Medical Center, Broward Health North, Broward Health Imperial Point, Broward Health Coral Springs, Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital, Broward Health Weston, Broward Health Community Health Services, Broward Health Physician Group, Broward Health Urgent Care, Broward Health International, and Broward Health Foundation.

Broward County Healthy Start Coalition

Broward Healthy Start Coalition, Inc. was incorporated on February 14, 1992 and is the leader in Maternal and Child Health policy and programming in Broward County. The Coalition receives funding from the Florida Department of Health and the Agency for Health Care Administration and is responsible for the formation and administration of the Healthy Start system, which includes management of subcontracts for quality services to pregnant women and children birth to age three and monitoring services through quality improvement and assurance responsibilities and accountability.

Memorial Healthcare System

Since its inception in 1953, Memorial Healthcare System has been a leader in providing high-quality healthcare services to South Florida residents. Today, it is one of the largest public healthcare systems in the nation and highly regarded for its exceptional patient- and family-centered care. Its facilities include Memorial Regional Hospital, Memorial Regional Hospital South, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, Memorial Hospital West, Memorial Hospital Miramar, Memorial Hospital Pembroke and Memorial Manor nursing home.

Palm Beach County Behavioral Health Coalition

The Palm Beach County Behavioral Health Coalition was created to give parents, youth and neighborhoods the tools to continue building a healthier, drug free community. By bringing together teens, parents, educators, business owners and other partners, we coordinate activities, provide information, and organize public awareness campaigns to steer youth and adults away from harmful decisions and towards program and support services.

University of Florida/Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS); Family and Consumer Sciences

The University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) is a federal-state-county partnership dedicated to developing knowledge in agriculture, human and natural resources, and the life sciences. University of Florida/Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS); Family Nutrition Program

The UF/IFAS Extension Family Nutrition Program (FNP) has provided free nutrition education to SNAP-eligible people in Florida since 1996. FNP also provides free resources for local organizations to support and promote healthy eating and physical activity in their communities. The FNP program is currently in 40 counties.

Urban League of Broward County

An affiliate of the National Urban League, the Urban League of Broward County is a community-based organization dedicated to empowering communities and changing lives in the areas of education, entrepreneurship, jobs, justice, housing and health. Our transformation solutions have life-changing effects that create equity and parity, facilitating economic opportunity and stability and uplifting individuals.
